Elena Baggio is a PhD candidate in the Doctoral Programme in Governance at the Hertie School. Her research focuses on the role of different societal actors and organizations in revitalizing and strengthening democratic political systems through innovation. Prior to joining the Hertie School, she worked as a research assistant at the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and at the Chair of Methods for Empirical Social Research (Prof. Dr. Bettina Langfeldt) at the University of Kassel. She holds an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation from the University of Oxford and a BA in European Social and Political Studies from University College London (UCL).
