The Hertie School kicks off the new academic year with record numbers, new faces, and cutting-edge research. As autumn arrives in Berlin, here’s a snapshot of what’s been happening across our campus and community:
- Largest-ever student cohort: The Hertie School opened its Academic Year with over 430 new students, marking the milestone moment with a panel on international law in turbulent times.
- New faculty members: We’re excited to welcome Violeta Moreno-Lax as Director of the Centre for Fundamental Rights and Mauro Gilli as Professor of Military Strategy and Technology.
- Policy spotlight: Germany’s Vice-Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil called for a “Jacques Delors Plan 2.0” to strengthen Europe’s resilience in a changing world.
