Armand Zorn is a fellow at the Hertie School. He is Member of the German Bundestag for the Social Democrats (SPD) and represents the constituency Frankfurt am Main I since September 2021. Being a member in the Committees of Finance and of Digital Affairs, his political work focuses among other on international and sustainable finance, monetary policy and the governance of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. In addressing these topics, Zorn appreciates the importance of global and especially transatlantic perspectives.
Zorn was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and immigrated to Germany at the age of 12. He was in educated in Germany, France, China and Italy, where he has earned degrees in Politics & Public Administration (University of Konstanz & Sciences Po Paris), a Diploma in International Economics (Johns Hopkins University SAIS) and an LLM. oec. in Business & Economic Law (Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg). Prior to being directly elected as MP for the City of Frankfurt, he worked as Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and gained further professional experience at the French National Assembly in Paris and at the EU External Delegation in Hong Kong & Macao.
